Â
Does my child need their own equipment for swimming lessons?Â
All your child will need for their swimming lesson is appropriate swimwear, swim cap, and goggles.
Â
Where can I find kids’ swimming lessons near me?Â
Aquatic Achievers have kids swimming schools located across Australia in New South Wales, ACT (Canberra), Queensland and Victoria, that cater to 3–5-year-olds. Find your nearest swim school and book in a swimming lesson for your child — it’s that easy.
Â
Are your instructors certified to teach children swimming?
Yes! Swim instructors at Aquatic Achievers are certified by Austswim, which is one of Australia’s leading industry partners. Our instructors have all completed (at a minimum) a ‘Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety’ training course and are highly capable of teaching and looking after groups of children in the water.
Aquatic Achievers consistently ensure that all of our team members are fully qualified and regularly attend refresher classes, workshops, and re-certification courses.
Â
Can I watch my kid’s swimming lessons?
Absolutely — parents are encouraged to watch their children’s lessons. At Aquatic Achievers, most centres have dedicated on and off-pool deck viewing areas, where you can watch, support, and encourage your child during their swimming lesson.
Do I need to be in the water?
By the ages of 3-5, your child is safe in the water with our dedicated swimming trainers, without the need for a parent in the water. You are still welcome to watch and encourage your child from one of our dedicated viewing areas, which are close by the pool.
How often should my child have swimming lessons?
At Aquatic Achievers, we recommend bringing your child to one swimming lesson a week to help them build confidence in the water and keep them excited to keep coming back. Your child will need practice and patience to unlock their swimming potential, and the only way to get that is to keep coming back for more specialist kids swimming
